Segundo um estudo de avaliação de assessoria, realizado pela Escola Europeia de Coaching TISOC, Messi supera Cristiano Ronaldo em "inteligência emocional" e "humildade", enquanto o português demonstra maior "sentido de humor", "carisma" e "capacidade de comunicar".

O estudo diz ainda que ambos os futebolistas perdem na "capacidade de delegar", mas que obtêm a pontuação máxima em "talento" e "ambição".

As conclusões são extraídas de uma comparação entre os dois jogadores  em 11 aspetos concretos da personalidade e comportamento de cada um deles,  dentro e fora de campo. 

Para o fazer, a TISOC analisou as reações, declarações e relações de  Messi e de Cristiano Ronaldo com os colegas de equipa, a imprensa e os adeptos,  e na avaliação global seria o argentino a vencer a "Bola de Ouro da Assessoria".
