A cidade japonesa de Hiroshima recordou esta segunda-feira as vítimas da primeira bomba atómica, numa cerimónia em que foram assinalados os 67 anos do ataque e renovados os apelos à paz, não proliferação e abolição das armas nucleares. VEJA AS FOTOS

Dezenas de milhares de pessoas juntaram-se ao início da manhã no Parque Memorial da Paz de Hiroshima, onde às 08:15 locais (00:15 em Lisboa), um minuto de silêncio marcou o momento em que a cidade sofreu o primeiro ataque nuclear da história.

Estima-se que a bomba "Little Box", lançada pelos estados Unidos acabou de forma imediata com a vida de 80.000 pessoas, e que no final de 1945 o número de vítimas tenha atingido cerca de 140.000 mortos, além das vítimas de radiação registadas nos anos seguintes.
